Gravity and/or light vacuum filling is suitable for non-carbonated and non-dense products such as: still water, wine, spirits (vodka, whiskey, brandy, etc.), fruit juices without particles, vinegar, milk, chemical and food products in general.
In the case of gravity filling, the opening of the taps, connected to the main tank, is controlled by the neck of the containers themselves, lifted by mechanical plates with spring push and cam return and locked in filling position against the appropriate gasket. In perfectly sealed conditions, the liquid fed from the tank flows through the holes at the end of the tap and runs along the walls of the container. At the same time, the air or inert gas present in the container exits through the upper hole and returns to the tank or, in the case of separate return, is evacuated outside of it. Thanks to this hole, the filling level of the product in the containers is determined with extreme precision without resorting to further leveling.
Millimetric Filling
Thanks to the provision of a particular type of tap and construction, light vacuum fillers allow millimetric adjustment of the filling level from the control panel, up to a maximum of 10 mm.
The special pump creates a slight vacuum in the tank, so that when the tap opens, a vacuum is created inside the container through the air return hole. In this way, in the presence of a perforated container or with a chipped mouth, it is not filled, avoiding product waste and spillage on the base, or even avoiding the commercialization of defective bottles.
Other important features: all taps prevent exchanges between the gases contained in the tank and the ambient air, have limited use of gaskets to limit bacterial proliferation, are easily disassembled thanks to a quick disassembly system and are equipped with an opening device for single or centralized pneumatic sterilization.
The level is adjustable with the aid of special spacers on standard taps, (from 30 to 80 from the mouth) or centralized (from 30 to 90 from the mouth).
The adjustment of the height and centralized levels of the taps can be manual or electric with a selector or connected to a PLC program.
The liquid supply is automatically regulated by a stainless steel butterfly valve with pneumatic actuation with modulating opening to avoid water hammer.
The inside of the tank has a conicity in the area of the tap attachment to ensure complete emptying and has a butterfly discharge valve, it can be made in light or heavy version, completely finished with machine tools, with thick walls and mirror polishing, all without sharp edges and with radiused welds for more effective sterilization.
